Great Plains Bank has announced a $3,000 donation to the Taloga Fire Department.
“I don’t think we can say enough about our local fire department and how grateful we are that they put their lives at risk during disasters like this to protect our families, our homes and our land,” said Great Plains Bank Taloga President Cindy Vanderwork. Great Plains Bank Division President Tony Mikles added, “We heard that one of their fire trucks burned up in the fire. We could never repay them for the sacrifices they have made for this community, but we hope this donation provides a little relief with expenses as they start the process of rebuilding alongside the rest of the community.”
The recent wildfires in Western Oklahoma have been devastating to the area. Many residents have lost homes, land, cattle, barns and equipment in the fires. Great Plains Bank has previously announced a $10,000 donation to the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Fire Relief Fund in addition to the $3,000 donation to the Taloga Fire Department.
